Step 2 of 2: your project

No obligation. We never share your information.

The kitchen is the room Dallas families use most, and usually the first to show its age. Valencia Remodeling & Construction has remodeled kitchens across Dallas-Fort Worth since 2012, from cabinet and countertop updates to full renovations that change the layout. We serve homeowners throughout Dallas, including established neighborhoods such as Highland Park, University Park, Preston Hollow, Lakewood and Lake Highlands, where homes have character worth keeping and older systems that need careful handling.

One team runs your project from the first walkthrough to the final punch list. We are a registered General Contractor with the City of Dallas, so permits and inspections are part of our job, not yours.

Choose the scope that fits your kitchen

Not every kitchen needs to be gutted. We help you decide where your budget makes the biggest difference.

Refresh

Cabinet refinishing with new paint or stain and new hardware, a new backsplash, new lighting and new fixtures. A refresh changes how the kitchen looks and feels without moving anything.

Update

New cabinets and countertops on the existing layout, along with a new sink and faucet, backsplash and lighting. This is the right fit when the layout works but the finishes and storage no longer do.

Full renovation

A new layout, new cabinets, countertops, flooring, lighting and appliances. Full renovations can include opening a wall to the family or dining room, adding an island, or relocating the range, sink or refrigerator. In older Dallas homes, opening a wall can mean structural changes, so we plan for them before demolition starts, not after.

Design and materials

We start with how you cook, store and gather, then turn that into a layout and a list of selections: cabinet style and finish, countertop material, backsplash tile, sink and faucet, lighting and flooring. For countertops we install quartz, granite and marble, and we can talk through how each one holds up to everyday use.

We provide in-house design support for most kitchens. For more complex projects, we work with you to bring in an architect or designer. We source semi-custom cabinets from several cabinet suppliers, which gives you a wide range of styles and finishes, and we use MSI for most countertops, flooring and tile.

Lighting, electrical and plumbing

Most kitchen remodels touch the systems behind the walls: new circuits for appliances, recessed and under-cabinet lighting, and moving or upgrading plumbing for a new sink location or a pot filler. Electrical and plumbing work is done by trades licensed by the State of Texas and inspected where the City of Dallas requires it. Replacing old lighting with LED fixtures also brightens the room and lowers energy use.

Older homes and lead-safe work

Many homes in Highland Park, University Park and Lakewood were built before 1978, when lead paint was still common. We are EPA Lead-Safe Certified to do renovation, repair and painting work in these homes, and we follow lead-safe work practices whenever painted surfaces are disturbed.

What affects the cost

Every kitchen is priced from its own scope. The main factors are the size of the room, whether the layout changes, cabinet construction and finish, countertop material, appliance package, and how much electrical and plumbing work is involved. Conditions found behind walls in older homes can also affect cost, which is why we look closely before we price the work and give you a written, itemized estimate.

How long it takes

Most kitchen remodels take 3 to 8 weeks of work. Projects that change the layout or need new framing fall at the longer end of that range, and cabinet and countertop lead times also affect the schedule. We give you a schedule with your estimate and keep you updated if anything changes.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a kitchen remodel take?

Most kitchen remodels take 3 to 8 weeks. A refresh is at the shorter end; a full renovation that changes the layout or needs new framing is at the longer end. Cabinet and countertop lead times also affect the schedule, and we include a schedule with your estimate.

How much does a kitchen remodel cost in Dallas?

Every kitchen is priced from its own scope: room size, layout changes, cabinets, countertops, appliances, and electrical and plumbing work. We provide a free written, itemized estimate so you can see where the money goes.

Can you change my layout or remove a wall?

Yes. We can open a kitchen to the family or dining room, add an island, or move appliances to a new spot. If a wall is load-bearing, a structural engineer designs the support it needs, and we pull the required permits before work starts.

Can we stay in the house during the remodel?

Usually, yes. We put up dust barriers, protect your floors, and can set up a temporary kitchen so you can manage meals while your kitchen is out of service.

Do you handle permits and inspections?

Yes. We are a registered General Contractor with the City of Dallas. We pull the permits your project requires and schedule the inspections. Electrical and plumbing work is done by trades licensed by the State of Texas.

Do you offer financing?

Yes. We work with Wisetack, Service Finance Company and Acorn. With Wisetack and Acorn, you can check what you qualify for without affecting your credit score. Through Wisetack, financing runs from $500 to $65,000 with terms from 3 to 60 months. See our Financing page to prequalify.
